Listing Guidelines

Welcome to Buy Everything Market (BEM)! To maintain a trusted and successful marketplace, all sellers must follow these listing guidelines. Properly formatted and accurate listings help buyers find your products, increase your sales, and reduce disputes.

1. Product Titles

Use clear, descriptive titles that accurately reflect the item.
Include relevant keywords that buyers are likely to search for.
Avoid all caps, excessive punctuation, or misleading terms.

Example:
✅ Wireless Bluetooth Headphones with Noise Cancellation
❌ BEST HEADPHONES!!! MUST BUY!!!

2. Product Descriptions

Provide detailed descriptions including size, color, material, features, and any other relevant information.
Avoid vague terms like “amazing” or “perfect” without context.
Highlight what makes your product unique and useful.
Use bullet points for easy readability.

3. Product Images

Upload high-quality images with good lighting and clear views.
Include multiple angles if possible.
Do not use stock images unless they accurately represent the product.
Avoid promotional watermarks, text overlays, or logos in images.

4. Categories & Tags

Select the most relevant category for your product.
Add accurate tags and keywords to improve discoverability.
Use theme-based keywords to connect with buyers (e.g., “unicorn,” “vegan,” “home office”).

5. Pricing & Inventory

Set competitive, accurate pricing.
Include taxes, shipping, or additional charges if applicable.
Keep inventory quantities up to date. Remove items that are out of stock.

6. Compliance & Prohibited Items

Do not list items that are illegal, unsafe, or prohibited.
Ensure your products comply with all Canadian laws and regulations.

7. Shipping & Delivery

Provide accurate shipping details, including processing time and estimated delivery.
Use secure packaging to protect items during transit.
Update tracking information when the order is shipped.

8. Product Variations

Use variations (size, color, material) where applicable.
Avoid creating multiple listings for the same product with only minor differences.

9. Returns & Refunds

Clearly state your return policy in accordance with BEM rules.
Ensure items eligible for return meet the marketplace standards.

10. Quality & Trust

Ensure listings are honest, accurate, and professional.
Misleading listings may be removed, and repeated violations can result in account suspension.
High-quality listings lead to better buyer trust, reviews, and sales.
